We had an excellent stay for family vacation.
It was in a pleasant location walking distance to golf courses and eateries. The room was large, and we had a lovely view of the hills.

Remote location so close to a nice clean beach, Damai Beach Resort for an impromptu 3 day stay and a restaurant, it was in a lovely area. There was a poolside restaurant nearby. The breakfast was absolutely stunning and nice with local Sarawak foods and had something for everyone.

Had a great time at Damai Beach Resort! The beach is fine and perfect for long walks. We loved our spacious Baruk Suite with beautiful views and comfy beds. Breakfast was decent, but could use some variety. Just watch out for the slow check-in process.

The beach and the swimming pools. My children loved to play on the beach and swim in the pool.
the cleanliness of my room. The towels are not enough for four of us, i did mentioned in my booking that i came with my two children but yr hotel only prepared two towels. When i asked for extra towel , i had to loan rm60. It looked lik tht yr hotel is no trusted yr guest. The price offered is not included the gov tax n the services. Too expensive. Tq.

The rooms are really spacious and really worth the price. Facilities were good and environment very casual and flexible. Also convenient access to Damai Central food court and 24 hrs convenience store.
Pool dress code policy was not strict as there were people dressed in T shirts and shorts which is a bit disturbing due hygene reasons. The staffs although helpful, in my opinion, should try and smile more and be more courteous.

The only things we liked about Damai Beach Resort were its location between mountains and sea and a really nice swimming pool at the slope of the hill the hotel is situated on.
Reception desk: they seem to be unhappy with their job. Never smiling, seldom helpful. Rooms: Rooms are spacious and have a nice design, however they seem to be a little bit neglected. Despite dust under our bed we could find even children toys left by some previous guests. But the worst thing was invisible. We could observe results only when we woke up first morning. Our bodies were covered with hundreds of itching spots. We didn’t know what was that and it looked really scary. We even started to think that it might be some tropical disease. Hence we went to Sarawak General Hospital in Kuching. The doctors diagnosis surprised us as we were diagnosed us victims of massive flea attack. Doctors told that fleas had to live in mattresses and blankets in a hotel. We were recommended to change a hotel. Activities: activities were just listed at the board but we didn’t have a luck to see any of them (even we were at the place and time indicated). Guests can get Booked.nets/canoes and bikes but they need to pay for them. Renting a bike for a day costs more than daily rent rate of a car from an airport office. To sum up: Damai Beach Resort was the only place with fleas we ever stayed (in South East Asia we already spent more 12 weeks). We moved to the other hotel 5 km away from Damai Beach Resort and we were very happy with our stay there.

Serenity with a hint of nostalgia
The location enchanted us. Waking up to splendid views of Mount Santubong and the gentle waves was amazing. Staff members were caring, we felt at home.
The resort's age showed, with some areas needing urgent attention. The check-in process was slow, and we were disappointed with the internet connectivity in our room.

I was travelling with my wife & 3 kids (aged 6, 2 & 5 months)I was amazed with the service from the Front Desk upon my checking, no hassle, no problem, everything was very fine, especially the the 2 ladies who were assisted me. They were awesome & made my checking in very smooth. The other thing is, the room service was excellent & all my request was attended within 10 mins. Finally, the staffs in the coffee was above the class, they are very helpful & sincere in doing their job. I would recommend to my friends about this hotel. Well Done & Keep Up The Spirit. Mr. Othman, you are doing a good job.........Simon, Kepong
I think the distant between Kuching & the resort is quiet far but it has been compensate with the service from the hotel staffs. I would recommend to have a daily 1/2 hour show of Sarawak Heritage as many of the hotel geust are foreigners & its good to show about Sarawak.

Beach-front location with wonderful setting in the chalets area; chalets are large and confortable
Quite far from Kuching (45' one way) and no other dining or shopping area nearby

I liked the resort's environment, fresh air, and the foods served.
The most I disliked is the hotel staffs' services. The booking I've made is for Two Queen Sized Beds Room, but they arranged me and my family into a One Double Bed Room eventhough I've mentioned to the staff. The room is small for my family with 2 kids. There were so many outsider that not the in-house guests using the beachside pavilions. They used the water tap in front of the chalet I stayed, and the water pipe making a lot of noisy sound for whole day including midnight. They even throw the rabbish on the chalet's staircase. I was so disappointed in this stay.
